Dennis Wu: Profile

Dennis Wu (b. 1978) completed his undergraduate study of music in Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2000, and further obtained a master's degree in music composition in 2002.

He has composed a number of musical works, including Quartettsatz for piano quartet, Three Bagatelles for viola and piano and more recently, in 2008, a Cantonese choral suite Below the Kau To Shan. He has also composed music for musicals and was named music director for productions, including a student-organized musical for the 50th anniversary of Chung Chi College, Obsession.

He has been the producer and presenter in RTHK Radio 4, the editor of Fine Music magazine. He is one of the authors of a book of classical music (written in Chinese), and he writes a weekly column for Ta Kung Pao. Dennis is now working in the Hong Kong Arts Festival.
