Amidst mounting crisis after the earthquake, the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra is coming to the Hong Kong Arts Festival as planned, as the Festival and other sources confirm. All the members are fine.
The JPO performed last Friday as scheduled in the Suntory Hall under Alexander Lazare, when that morning a historic earthquake shook the country. There were 70 people in the audience as the public transport was totally crippled.
The BBC Philharmonic was also in Tokyo when the earthquake struck. The orchestra cancelled the tour
